CCHS senior Riley Vinyard chose to honor someone who has made a meaningful difference in his days at school — cafeteria employee Mrs. Slabaugh. As part of a team tradition, Riley was asked to select a person who has positively impacted his life and present them with his football jersey to wear for the day.
When Riley approached Mrs. Slabaugh to thank her for her kindness and consistent positivity, she was overwhelmed with emotion. Tears welled up in her eyes as she expressed her gratitude, saying, “He’s such a sweet boy.”
Riley’s thoughtful gesture was a touching reminder of the impact simple kindness and

Mrs. Elkins and Mr. Eisenhower spent the day at the Culpeper County Public Library conducting an exit poll with students from the CCHS AP Statistics class! Students were able to collect 450 responses to the survey that they designed and will use the data they collected to practice the skills they’ve learned. Thank you to all of the voters who were willing to participate today!

📢 Important Update for Virginia SNAP Recipients

Virginia will temporarily issue state-funded food assistance on a weekly basis to households’ existing EBT cards while federal SNAP benefits are delayed.

These state funds, called the Virginia Emergency Nutrition Assistance (VENA) program, will:
✅ Use the same EBT cards and beneficiaries as SNAP
✅ Deliver about ¼ of monthly benefits each week
✅ Begin issuing benefits on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays in November

The Little Blues Pre-School trick-or-treated through the office today and Spider-Man, aka Cooper, ran into his Uncle Nick, aka Assistant Principal Zajkowski.
