Staff Spotlight: Mrs. Csontos is our Study Hall teacher and is in her second year at CC. Before joining the staff, she spent four years as a substitute teacher and bus driver. Her favorite part of coming to work each day is the students who make it all worthwhile. Students in Ms. Stinnett's math class engaged in a hands-on Venn diagram activity, they sorted information and identified similarities and differences between different groups. Rose Constantini is an Assistant Principal at CCHS and is in her first year at the school. She has been in Culpeper for eight years and has 10 years of experience in education. Originally from South Carolina, she grew up primarily in Northern Virginia and has enjoyed getting to know the staff and students, who have made her feel welcome each day. Mr. Smith's Sports medicine students bring anatomy to life by tracing their own bodies to create life-size skeleton diagrams. This hands-on activity helps them visualize the location, structure, and alignment of bones in the human body. By connecting the skeletal system to their own bodies, students gain a more engaging and memorable understanding of anatomy. #BDP #BetterEveryDay #ForksUp

Originally from College Park, MD, she loves working at CC because of the friendly and supportive staff. Outside of school, Mrs. Cohoon teaches dance and yoga and enjoys baking and decorating cakes. History came to life at CCHS as Mr. Richardson's students declared their independence from the school! For a hands-on history project, groups worked together to create their own declarations inspired by the United States Declaration of Independence. Students got creative as they outlined their “grievances” and explained why they believed they should be free from CCHS. Mrs. Glenny's Geometry students created counter example posters. A counterexample is a specific instance that proves a general statement, rule, or theory false. This is used in mathematical reasoning. #BDP #BetterEveryDay #ForksUp




Mr. Eisenhower's Psychology students put their knowledge to the test in a surprisingly fruity experiment: performing “brain surgery” on oranges. Using careful techniques and a lot of creativity, they explored how different parts of the orange could represent the structure and function of the human brain. #BDP #BetterEveryDay #ForksUp

Today students in our Economics and Finance classes put their professional skills to the test through mock interviews. This hands-on experience gave students the opportunity to practice answering interview questions, communicating confidently, and presenting themselves professionally. Mr. Brandenstein’s chemistry class recently did a lab to learn how to use a Bunsen burner safely. Students got hands-on practice lighting the burner and adjusting the flame.
